Copy Ad

Hi Everyone!
For this copy ad, I used Tell Your Story.  I applied the preschool I direct for this assignment.  In fact, I may add in this Blog, onto the schools website, after I had in and edit different pages with new information.  I chose this ad, since I do feel it is important to tell your story.  Share why you became an educator.  Show parents how important teaching is to you.  I would have to say one of the challenges was putting my story in a way that families would want to read it.  That is why I chose to use the word journey.  It stands out a bit more.  For this assignment I used PowerPoint, which I love using any Word, PowerPoint or Excel file.  What I love even more now is Google Docs and Drive.  Being able to upload files such as a Word document, adding into Google Drive and getting a shareable link to add into the website, makes things so much easier.    I have always found creating a website and working on the computer interesting.  The Noah's Ark Preschool logo graphic I used on the first page, is one in which I ordered and paid for, for the preschool.  I thought it would be a good fit to place on home page of the Blog.

  1. Hey Christina,
I love your blog post! The overall look is very easy to navigate and very inviting! The beginning message that you left the parents on the front page is very clear on what to expect from this blog. I believe that with the changes in technology having this blog available to parents gives them the opportunity to stay connected on the devices that they are so sadly heavily connected to! I would have not though about using Google Drive to create my post! I thank you for giving me this idea for future references! I love the sharing your story post as I feel that it helps parents to better relate to you and gain a different perspective of why you chose the field of teaching.

  2. Hi Christina,
I really enjoyed the start of your blog. My first impression was wow this is simple but very effective and eye catching, especially with the image you added for your welcome post. I think you did a nice job taking the extra time creating a personalized image with your facilities name. Your welcome post included sufficient information in order to inform families of the overall purpose. Making mention and encouraging families to share their thoughts and ideas on the blog is a great way to get everyone involved. As I looked over your copy ad I believe it to be very effective. One aspect I really enjoyed was the way in which you broke up your “story” in three different parts using bullet points. Using this technique helps establish the main points as readers aren’t turned away from a longer text. From your personal story you provide ways for potential customers to connect/relate to your story which helps draw people in. I know if I was a prospective parent reading this ad I would feel pretty confident and intrigued to learn more about your facility and how you could provide a nurturing environment for my child. Overall, great job on your blog!
